BGP Confederation Overview RFC 5065에 정의됨 - 기존에 사용되던 RFC 3065가 폐지됨 하나의 AS를 작은 AS로 나눌 수 있음 Confederations 장점 BGP 라우터가 많은 AS를 보다 작은 Domain으로 세분화할 수 있음 BGP에 포함된 정보를 사용해 경로 정책을 제어할 수 있음 Full-Mesh 요구사항을 완화할 수 있음 Confederations 원리 외부 AS에서는 Confederation 전체가 하나의 AS로 간주함 내부의 각 AS는 독립 실행형 AS로 간주됨 하나의 AS를 최대 15개의 AS로 나눌 수 있음 - Nokia 7750 SR 기준 모든 라우터는 Confederation을 지원해야 함 BGP Confederation Attribute Confederations Attribute - AS-PATH AS를 넘으면 AS-PATH가 수정됨 - BGP Confederation AS를 넘어가도 AS-PATH를 수정함...
