Kinetic Resolution

1. Kinetic Resolution Kinetic Resolution은 racemic mixture에서 두 enantiomers를 분리하는 방법으로, chiral catalyst 또는 reagent와 두 enantiomer 사이의 반응속도 차이를 이용해 less reactive enantiomer를 분리할 수 있다. enantiomer의 R form과 S form 중 chiral catalyst와는 R form이 훨씬 빠르게 반응하여 P(R)을 형성하므로 남은 SM(S)를 선택적으로 분리할 수 있다. enantiomer는 physical property는 같기 때문에 chemical property 차이로만 분리할 수 있다.
