Cholecystitis Introduction and EpidemiologyCholecystitis는 gallbladder에 생긴 inflammation을 말하며 주로 obstructing gallstone에 의해 생긴다. gallstone은 disease severity를 결정한다. Biliary colic은 gallstone disease의 가장 흔한 complication이다.환자들은 몇 시간내에 완화되는 반복적인 상복부 통증을 경험한다. gallstone이 계속 obstruction을 일으키는경우 GB가 확장되면서 acute cholecystitisr가 나타날 수 있다. 이게 발전되서 necrosis을 일으키면 GB wall에 gangrene이 발생하는 gangrenous cholecystitis, gas-producing organism에 의한 emphysematous cholecystitis로 발전한다.
