Introduction - 정도는 다양하지만 6개의 major phamacologic effects가 있다; sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic, amnestic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant. - 보통 short-term Tx of anxiety, insomnia, seizure, withdrawal from alcohol or sedative-hypnotic agents로 사용한다. - midazolam은 procedural sedation or general anesthesia로 잘 사용하는 short duration of action의 대표약. - BDZ 단독 overdose는 mortality가 낮고 죽는 일도 드물지만 opiods랑 같이 overdose하면 morbidity가 증가한다. - short acting agents 중에서 isolated overdose 했을 때 ICU, coma, 기계환기가 필요한 경우도 있는데 alprazolam, temazepam, tr..........
